Summer time!

Don't worry, he didn't actually dive into the shallow water.
The diving pose is more for "show"

Spring Concert

Recorder class

Handsome boys

Sweet girls

The kids' Spring concert went great. So proud of all of them! They each
had some stage fright but overcame it and did great.
Ethan and Izzy sang their solos beautifully.

In the garden

Izzy had a great Sat. morning. She got to go out to
breakfast at McDonalds by herself with her Dad and then pick out plants for
our garden....she was especially excited to
plant this one sunflower that he let her get.

...and she really wanted these flowers, zinnias? Apparently they are her "favorite"...
never heard of them.

Izzy LOVES to help her Dad do just about anything.
They spent the morning planting radishes,
carrots, green pepper, tomatoes,
catnalope, watermelon, and squash.
I love being able to get vegetables
out of the garden but the planting, weeding, tilling, etc...is not for me.

Oh Happy Day!

Simple, Sweet Joy

Climbing a tree

Blowing Bubbles

Playing football

Soaking up the sun

Studying the Mallard ducks in our pond

Playin' in the mud with a friend

I am a homebody- always have been and probably always will be-
What I really enjoy most is being home and watching my kids enjoy
the simple, sweet  joys of childhood.
Sometimes life can get so busy that our kids just don't have
enough time to play, enjoy nature, and use their imaginations.
I remind myself that it's the simple moments that count.
There can be joy and value in "doing nothing".
