Eat Beef, Not Turkey

First of all, I have nothing against eating turkey....just wanted an interesting post title. On Thanksgiving day, we had my family here for a Thanksgiving meal. We did not eat the traditional turkey instead we had beef brisket which is much easier to make....so of course this is why I chose it.

Izzy and Ethan enjoying their meal.

I think the only thing Aiden ate was jello....not a big eater. He's too busy.

The family

We also had a Thanksgiving meal with Reed's side of the family.
Again, no turkey but that is fine with me...not a big fan.
The highlight is always the Bingo game following dinner.
Let me tell ya, the prizes are very exciting.

 Bingo cards....ready to go

Great Grandma

Father and daughter bonding over Bingo

I am pretty sure she is a Sanguine personality :)

As I said earlier, the prizes are quite exciting....candy, socks, and this year thanks to my husband, a good
old fashioned whoopie cushion. Hunter knew which gift it was and purposely chose it. His first attempt
at sitting on it actually made it break...therefore the duct tape. Still worked. Oh joy!

Hunter had quite the night....he ended up being the grand prize Bingo winner! He got this and
also a box of chocolates.

Apple Pickin'

A few weeks ago we spent an afternoon picking apples with friends.
Perfect activity to begin the Fall season....the best part was eating
the delicious apple dessert for dinner that night!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving...lots of food. Somehow I
never got a picture of any of the food or us eating...huh?
We spent Thanksgiving Day at Grandpa and Grandma's--mostly eating.
The best part was on our way home when Ethan suggested
that we all share what we were thankful for. So we did and
it was very nice, warm and fuzzy. Then Izzy says, "When is the day
when we say what we are NOT thankful for....like rats and mice?".
On Friday we spent the day at home putting up Christmas decorations
(I'll tell you about our Christmas tree at a later time). Then
Saturday it was on to another Thanksgiving and more food with
Reed's family. We played our traditional Bingo game with lots
of fun prizes to be won.

Went to Grandma's so Izzy could get one last ride in on Patsy
before it gets too cold. She had a great time. She is really a natural...
a little more healthy fear would be nice though at times.

Went Trick or Treating with friends at a local mall.
The boys had a great time being Jedis. Izzy really
liked her pirate costume despite my suggestions to
be something "prettier". Oh, and we spotted Elvis.
Not my favorite holiday but the kids had a fun time...
after all they got to be with friends, dress up, and
get candy!

Trac Vac

Probably going to be fall tradition
at our house....riding behind
the trac vac while Reed drives around
and picks up the leaves.
