Niagara Falls

Izzy & Dad at Rainforest Cafe and Ethan at the Aquarium

Hunter loved swimming at the hotel

The Falls-it was a nice day but the view was a little cloudy

American falls were a little easier to see than the Canadian ones

We had a good weekend visiting Niagara Falls. We left on Fri
and headed straight to the Falls on the Canadian side. Ethan
was thrilled to be in a different country! He thought the culture
was "way different from the U.S." huh?? Anyway, we spent the
day walking around the Falls and various attractions on the
Canadian side. Kids were anxious to get to the hotel and swim.
It had a great and thankfully warm pool. Reed spent Sat. and
Sun. at his conference--the kids and I kept entertained at the
pool, nearby aquarium, and then the Buffalo Museum of Science the
next day. It was good to get away and have a change of scenery.
We didn't get home til 11pm Sunday night. Everyone was
exhausted but had a great time.

Blogging

myspace layout

I guess I am becoming somewhat
addicted to this blogging thing. I
am having fun trying out different
things. So many possibilities!
I guess it is a creative outlet in a
way even if no one is reading it.
Thought my title was boring
so now I am trying a new one...we'll
see, not sure I like this one either.

Missing some teeth

Can't believe we actually paid someone
to do this to our child! Hunter got 4 of his
planned 6 teeth pulled yesterday upon
the recommendation of the orthodonist.
Little did we know that he was going to
be left with just one lone tooth in the
front. Aww....he's like our own little "Billy
Bob". He did wear his "Billy Bob teeth"
into the dentist office for his appointment
since it was April Fool's Day. Our dentist
was definately amused. Well, here's hoping
the kid grows some teeth! Now what am
I going to do about his portraits this year...
I should have gotten them before. Bummer!

Upward Basketball

Our team--Go Eagles!
(pic by Front Porch Photography)

Hunter "the Hammer"

Joey, Ethan K., Ethan, Riley, and Hunter

Ethan "the Atomic" on defense

Reed and I coached Hunter and Ethan's
2nd Grade basketball team this year. Seven
boys with lots of energy! It was great fun...
they really improved with each game. Upwards
is really a nice program. Each player gets a
nickname that is used when they announce the
team. Reed's was Coach Reed "Lisa's my boss"
and mine was Coach Lisa "Lay up".
It was definately interesting and challenging to
work with the boys and each other!
